A card for Jacqueline
Deborah Nolan is starting up her Card Chain Challenge again, and here is the card that I made to send to my friend Jacqueline in France. I know that she received it, so I'm sharing it today. We share a love of flowers and birds, so that's where I started. And I just got this new floral lace heart die, so that was thrown into the mix, also. supplies: kraft, coral, and carnation layering paper, Impression Obsession Floral Lace Heart die, Memory Box Grove Branch, Perched Reed Bird, and Fancy…
Best of Betsy's
I live in beautiful Geraldine, New Zealand, retiring from the Catlins in 2008. I have lived with my very tolerant and encouraging husband for over 50 years, and we have a strong Christian faith. We have a grown family of four and ten lovely grandchildren. Many forms of craft have been my passion for years, but patchworking and card-making have taken precedence.

IC317 Sweet Friend by Holstein - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Stef gave us an embroidery everywhere site today. I was awed at the texture they achieved on the pieces with thread. I chose this piece.. http://www.etsy.com/listing/71367712/lovebird-heart-embroidered-flour-sack I used my new stamp set and embossed with clear embossing powder, and cut it out with a nestied. For the white panel I embossed the bottom with a border folder and cut out with scissors the edge. I then scored lines and embossed again with another embossing folder. Added some…
A Little More Love in This Scrappy House
Still playing with those puffy little heart stickers. Having sooooomuch fun with them. Glad I bought several packages. :) Here's my latest creation: I mimicked the effect of the "glass" in the mason jar by recycling/repurposing a piece of acetate packaging from a sticker set. It was a bit tricky to glue but a fun result nonetheless. Happy scrappy Saturday y'all!

Hello! Hope your week is going along well. Just sharing another card that I made using Tiffany Doodles' Love Letters digital stamp set. I changed the colors again--this time to red--and used the same Classic Fabric Design stamp for the background. After inking up the stamp with Fired Brick and Barn Door distress inks, I stamped off once, then lightly spritzed some water before stamping again, giving it a watercolored look. I kind of like that! I ink distressed around all the edges with…
IC269 Valentine Chandelier by jdmommy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
The inspiration today comes from a website called ZOYA. I chose this Bird and Blossom Chandelier. I used three different Mark's Finest Papers sets, Tweet Blessings for the birds, Brick wall for the branch of flowers, and Hearts Hearts Hearts for the sentiment. The paper is MFP's NEW 100 weight, and is GORGEOUS! I hope you like it. Tis was also for Speedy's Friends Challenge, a Valentine.
HYCCT Paint Your Heart Out CKM by LilLuvsStampin - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
For today's color challenge, I had to substitute Blush Blossom for Blushing Bride and Old Olive for Lucky Limeade since I do not have those colors. I do have Regal Rose, though! :-) This is also for one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges to paint on our image. I watercolored mine.
Triple Heart Easel Card
I think I'm going to have to give up showers! I call my shower cubicle my thinking chamber, and it's just working overtime at the moment! So there I was this week putting a project online, when a new idea perfect for valentines day popped into my head while I was in my thinking chamber! Lainey very kindly made some fantastic examples of the design, Di created the mtc and Studio files, and just 3 days later it was online! It's very easy to cut out and put together, so come along and give it a…
