I was just talking about this!  Take it from a dancer: If you're going to wear heels, at least wear them high enough to put your shin, ankle, and foot bones in straight alignment, taking advantage of the linear strength.  Any shorter heel puts the force of your weight on the arch and the corners of the bone ends, causing more pain, sliding (shear pain for the flesh) and instability |  health & beauty
