Pangolins are the most trafficked mammals in the world, and the Chinese pangolin may be the most endangered of them all. The species is heavily hunted within China for its meat, which is considered a delicacy, as well as for its skin and scales which are used in traditional medicine.

The Serval is a medium-sized African wild cat. It may soon become threatened with extinction in Africa because it is hunted for its pelt. That is forbidden in most countries, but trade with the pelt is not controlled closely enough. This cat here is held as a pet - not by us, but by people we met recently in Germany. It is a one year old male. It was quite happy with walking on a leash, just like a dog.

Melanistic Fox: Due to a rare condition called melanism, the commonly red fur of the fox is splattered with black patches.
