Clothing by the Parisian Atelier Charles Frederick Worth (1825 –1895), an English fashion designer. He is considered to be the father of haute couture. active 1858-1956. It was the first to use live models to promote garments and to sew brand labels into his clothing, and twice annual seasonal collections. Innovated the princess-line silhouette and the elongated crinoline. famous clients were Empress Eugenie, Princess Pauline Von Metternich, Sarah Bernhardt, Lillie Langtry and Alice Vanderbilt.
