Jim Hall's lone Chaparral leads Don Wester's Genie and Walt Hansgen's Lola T70 Mk.1 at Laguna Seca, May 9, 1965. Hansgen would get past Wester and dog Hall for several laps, until his water pump belt broke. Hall would win easily and had put Wester a lap down, with the 3rd place car being two laps down.
