'Geodesic' a term coined by Buckminster Fuller in Self supporting structure of interlocking triangles requiring no crossbeams.

Fuller's famous Geodesic Dome: Light weight--incredibly stable without supporting beams-- minimal surface for losing heat or cold air. The dome-shape is immensely superior to the rectangle for human dwelling according to Bucky.
