I’m a big fan of rooms with a single bold element that totally makes the space. I love the simplicity of it — the idea that you could hang one oversized piece of art or cover one wall in a wildly patterned wallpaper and have everything else just fall into place. There are plenty of ways to get the look, but one of my very favorite room-making pieces — and also a great way to make a small space seem much bigger than it is — is an oversized mirror.

I want a mirror like this for my room

Timothy Whealon decorated a modernist, glass-walled house he for a young family in Southampton. But while the open floor plan and light-flooded rooms provided an ample canvas for the New York–based designer to create airy, crisp interiors that complement the house’s clean lines and staggering vistas, the project was also a bit of a departure for him.

Inspired by the co-founders’ love of travelling with scents of the sea, flora and spices that have lingered in their memory over time. These two inspirational women have put together an elegant collection of products that will replace the perfume you wear, fill your home with exquisite fragrances.
