We found out some information for this Carbon County Museum mystery photo! The event was the 1919 TransContinental Air Race - Rev. Belvin Maynard, "The Flying Parson," ... At the start of the Great American Air Race, his dog jumped in the plane as he took off. He flew along what is now Interstate 80 and he was one of four pilots to finish the race. He was from North Carolina. The co-pilot was Sgt. William E. Kline.
