Old telephone box ~ i miss these! They used to be all across the UK and were much more stylish (if not clunky ~ the door is v heavy!) than today's phoneboxes, not that there ARE many public telephones any more, since mobile phones took over the universe). Some of these original phone boxes still exist, in parts of London, and pretty Devon villages.

The iconic telephone booth in London!

This is a photo of the popular telephone booths sported around London. In June of this year, the BT ArtBoxes ( an artistic campaign started to celebrate ChildLine's 25th anniversary) came up with different ways to remodel these telephone booths! These boxes were designed by leading British and international artists. Many of these creative designs were posted in front of Big Ben are different shops.
