Do you Smoke?
In up to 13% of patients coping with infertility, smoking has been implicated as the cause of infertility. 🚭 That’s smoking cigarettes–with nicotine being the major ingredient that’s implicated in decreasing fertility–but we also know that even in people who smoke filtered, tarless, and other types of cigarettes, it’s not just the nicotine content that affects fertility, but all the components of smoking.

Low Progesterone
Let's Talk About Low Progesterone Like its name suggests, it is a PRO-GESTational-hoRmONE i.e. it is critical to the successful continuation of a pregnancy! It's important for the implantation of the embryo & for the pregnancy continuing in the 1st trimester. It also plays a big role in preventing Preterm birth in the 2nd/3rd trimester. If prog is low, a pregnancy either will not form or continue! However, diagnosing & using the information of low prog is not clear cut!

Where are you in your Fertility Journey?
know what disappointment and pressure feel like. Because of distress, many of them choose to be silent and endure the pain inside. But it shouldn't be that way. It's only when you muster that courage and open up about your story, that you realize many people have actually been through it as well. Shared experiences are so powerful. Your stories validate your sentiments, and they also serve as inspiration to many.

PCOS Myth: "𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙂𝙚𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙃𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙋𝘾𝙊𝙎"
For some reason, this myth has become prevalent even amongst healthcare providers. As a result, some women with PCOS have been erroneously told that they can never get pregnant on their own. This is not true and often leads to the ‘miracle’ stories where women detail conceiving even after a healthcare professional told them they could not. This myth also leads to many PCOS women incorrectly choosing not to use contraception, even though they are sexually active and do not desire pregnancy.

What is AMH?
What is AMH? Anti-Müllerian hormone, also known as Müllerian-inhibiting hormone, is a glycoprotein hormone structurally related to inhibin and activin from the transforming growth factor beta superfamily, whose key roles are in growth differentiation and folliculogenesis. Understanding the meaning of AMH and why we recommend that anyone having fibroid removal surgery (myomectomy) with intentions of pursuing future pregnancy, should get an AMH drawn before surgery is super important.
