Jabuticaba [Pinia cauliflora] - a fruit-bearing tree that belongs to family Myrtaceae - is native to Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Bolivia. The tree is grown for its purplish-black, white-pulped fruits that can be eaten raw or be used to make jellies and drinks (plain juice or wine). The tree has salmon-colored leaves when they are young, turning green as they mature; flowers, and hence the fruits, are borne directly from its trunk in a cauliflorous-habit giving the plant a distinct look.
