Recently I have been on a baby blanket making spree, and my new favorite is this '3 Hour Rag Quilt'. I love it because it's so simple, it's soft, it's cute, and it only takes 3 hours. Supplies *contains affiliate links*: -A piece of batting that is 40.5' x 42' -1.5 yards flannel -1.5 yards coordinating flannel. This sweet cupcake baby girl rag quilt blanket is made with two fabrics from the Robert Kaufman Confections Collection and super soft pink dot minky. It measures at 32" x 36". Perfect size for baby or toddler. The middle layer is soft pink flannel and the back is super soft minky dot. The traditional X has been sewn on each square. This handmade shabby cottage chic baby rag quilt features exquisite appliqued hearts. I cut each heart from a beautiful pink cottage rose print from the Mary Rose collection by Quilt-Gate for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. The edges were turned under and then appliqued with a machine blanket stitch, using a pretty pink variegated cotton thread, on a cream solid background.
