Cinnamon Bay has a nice little shack renting anything you might need to play in the water in St. John. I noticed this stack of surfboards and thought it would make create a nice curved, linear composition when converted to black and white. We tend to think of surfing in terms of color normally but the lines in combination with the wax buildup creates a diversely textural feel to the image. Networking: Facebook, My Website
Beach Bunny California
Back in the late 1950's and early 1960's surfing was really catching on and beach bunnies like this did not do anything to discourage the trend. I moved to Southern California from Pennsylvania in 1963 and as a teenage boy was flabbergasted by how beautiful the girls were. It gave new meaning to the song "I Wish They All Could Be California Girls" by the Beach Boys.
