The 6,500 foot Calbuco is considered one of top three most potentially dangerous among Chile's 90 active volcanos.

That looks like a controlled burn from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. You can see the boom coralling the oil on the surface of the water. (Not a volcanic ash plume as some have said...)

Eruption at Sinabung Intensifies

The eruption at Sinabung in Sumatra has continued to intensify over the last week. The latest explosive plumes from the Indonesian volcano have topped 5-7 km (16,500-23,000 feet). All this activity has caused over 5,300 people to be evacuated from the region around the volcano and with any extended evacuations, issues with food and water access are occurring. Additionally, the farmland around Sinabung has been heavily damaged by the ash fall.
