Idéia Visível, 1951, Enamel on Kelmite. Waldemar Cordeiro ( 1925 -  1973). was a painter, designer, illustrator, landscaper, urban planner, journalist & art critic. In 1949, he participated in the exhibition From Figurativism to Abstractionism, which opened the São Paulo Modern Art Museum (MAM/SP). He participated in São Paulo International Biennial in 1951, and in various subsequent ones. He becomes the theorist and leader of the Ruptura Group, a concrete art group founded in 1952
