Producers can help explain higher food prices to consumers...Consumers are noticing less change in their pockets when they come home from the grocery store. Food prices are on the rise in 2014.  USDA said the food-at-home Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose more in the first four months of 2014 than it did all of last year. Beef, pork and dairy products are higher across the board.
