Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) nicknamed "The Red Priest" was an Iralian Baroque composer, priest, and virtuoso violinis, born in Venice. Vivaldi si recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread over Europe.
Antonio Vivaldi (Italian baroque composer priest virtuosos violinist) Known for his 40 operas and many violin concertos. His most noted works in his Four Seasons. He was a priest at an orphanage who taught the children music so well they went on tour. He composed contadas, concertos and sacred hymns. From here the royalty of Europe took notice of him and he wrote many pieces for different royals at the time. Later as his popularity style faded he died a pauper.
