I'm thinking stacked washer and dryer on the left side of the room. A tall storage cabinet on the right side of the room to hold all of the cleaning supplies, vacuum, misc. housewares. And a bench with storage in between and either a cabinet above/between, or some type of hanging rack for clothes that can also be folded out of the way.

Flip Flop Sandal Organizer Storage Hangers Black Grey Floral Decorators Cotton Fabric Set of 6
Another pic of this idea - Your Flip Flop Sandal Storage solution is here. Just slide current clothing over and hang this set of six just for starters. Measure 9" H x 9" W. Match up your pairs and they will remain at your finger tips. Set of six (6) in cotton fabric. Wrapped with two layer fabric strap and each closed and secure with a hand sewn button. Each button is a hand selected vintage of different size, shape and texture
Would you call these junk catchers? I'm thinking it would be a good place to store items that don't belong in the room so that when people ask "where is this item?" later you can tell them to look in their bucket. It might work better than throwing it in their room just to leave a mess they might not get to cleaning later (a bucket is a lot easier to clean than a whole room!)
Organized craft supplies. NOw this one I like. I don't like having supplies out in the open getting dusty. But, with this system, you can protect your supplies, yet still see them and have them handy too. Best one, in my book!
