12/08/16. Chuva de meteoros Perseidas é registrada no ceú de Luzit, na região central de Israel. O fenômeno, que ocorre anualmente no mês de agosto, teve seu ápice nesta madrugada, segundo a NASA. As Perseidas têm este nome porque os meteoros parecem sair da constelação de Perseus. Algol, in the constellation of Perseus, the Hero, was known since ancient times as the "Demon Star" and is one of the most famous variable stars in the sky. Its name seems to suggest that the medieval Arabs were aware of its marked changes in brightness.
