Obi: Nome atribuído à faixa larga e entretelada integrante dos quimonos japoneses. Com aproximadamente 1,5m de comprimento e 35 cm de largura, o obi é enrolado em torno da cintura e amarrado atrás por um grande la ç o. Geralmente confeccionada em tecido brilhante, a faixa ganha ares festivos quando adornada. Na década de 80, foi adaptada à moda ocidental pelos estilistas japoneses radicados em Paris.
