Guccio Gucci (26 March 1881 – 2 January 1953) was an Italian businessman and fashion designer, the founder of The House of Gucci.
Guccio Gucci founded his saddlery and leather goods company in Florence in 1906. By 1923, the company was manufacturing handbags for a substantial clientele. Aldo Gucci invented the Gucci double-G logo by transposing his father's initials onto handbags, shoes, and other leather goods, simultaneously initiating the brand name–driven consumer fashion system
