Danburite is a calcium boro silicate, found in a variety of places including Burma, Mexico and Madagascar.  The danburite from Mogok in Burma comes in the traditional clear, but also the champagne yellow pictured here in this 6 carat barion cut gem.  With a hardness of 7-7.5, danburite is plenty tough enough for any item of jewelry.
