Buy valspar bonding primer for glossy surfaces and a good quality latex paint with a gloss finish (more gloss = scratch resistance). Use foam rollers and foam "brushes" for hard to reach areas. Let primer dry 2hrs before painting. I used 2 coats of paint (wait 2hrs minimum between coats). Follow the instructions on the paint cans for temperatures and other care just to be safe. If changing handles, make sure the new ones fit before any painting. Enjoy!

Painted wood paneling - before and after photos. Night and day! One coat of primer and two coats of color on walls and trim. No sanding needed. More
