Nishi Hongan-ji is one of two temple complexes of Jodo Shinshu in Kyoto, the other being Higashi Honganji. Nishi Honganji was established in 1602 by the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. It huge complex of temples and many gates. But I was impressed mostly by this beautiful gingko biloba tree (on the left). I have never seen such a big gingko.
