Edith Piaf, a beautiful french singer displays individualism. She lived a harsh life, a "rags to riches" type of story. When she became a celebrity she constantly strived to be an amazing performer but she always remembered where she came from and was eternally grateful for this. I was amazed when i learned about her, she's astonishing.
I didn't understand this when I was younger, being male, I never bothered to look at things from a female perspective. As I got older, the more I understood and the more horrified I got. Having to watch what they wear, getting randomly groped in public by complete strangers, having to lie rather than just tell someone not interested out of fear
