Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca, Morocco. 1986-93. This mosque is the largest mosque in the country and the 7th largest in the world but lays claim to the worlds tallest minaret at 210 m. The mosque displays strong Moorish influence and the architecture of the building is similar to that of the Alhambra and the Great Mosque of Cordoba in Spain but infuses modern technology through heated floors, glass floors to view the ocean below and a retractable roof.
