"A good photo will make you work hard to capture it." And that is how it should be. To grab this photo, we woke up at 5am and walked 9 hours through knee deep freezing water. But we're not complaining. The hike up the crystal blue Virgin River that carved out the Zion 'Narrows' is spectacular and should be on every photographer's 'to do' list. Photo @materas // The Subway in Zion National Park, Utah. The Subway is a 1/4 mile long tube shaped slot canyon, accessible by hiking upstream for a few miles or a technical canyoneering through hike. Zion National Park was established on November 19th, 1919 and ranges in elevation from 3,600' to 8,700'. Zion Canyon was carved out of Navajo sandstone by the North Fork of the Virgin River.
