Anthony Peter Riela (1896-1992) was a capo in the Bonanno family, born in Terranova, Sicily. First came to notice as a suspected attendee at the 1957 Apalachin meeting. He was jailed in 1961 for Obstructing Justice, in relation to this. NARA Records listed him as a Capo in charge of the Families New Jersey interests. He was also an ally of Salvatore Maranzano, during the “Castellammarese War”. In 1944 he was suspected of a double murder in Rockford.
