China - Anping Bridge is a Song Dynasty stone beam bridge in China's Fujian province. It is metres mi) long. It is also known as the Wuli Bridge (literally Five Li Bridge) because its length is about 5 li, where a li is about 500 meters or miles.
When many people think of pagodas, they usually generalize that Japanese ones are square and Chinese ones octagonal, without realizing that square ones were prevalent in China as well until the Song Dynasty. Although only a few timber ones are extant today, the Square Pagoda (Fang Ta) in Shanghai is a beautiful example, built during the Song Dynasty in 1068-1077.
