Whitburn Windmill, Whitburn, South Tyneside, Tyne and Wear. The Windmill overlooks the North Sea and is located between South Shields and Whitburn Village on the Coast Road. There's been a mill on these grounds since 1779 providing food for the local population and later a valuable look out spot. The building is listed (Grade II) as it is considered to be of special architectural and historical importance.
