The lovely and historic St. James Cathedral in the First Hill neighborhood is a joy to visit. Its exterior and its interior are really beautiful. The interior is filled with magnificent stained glass windows and some lovely religious art. The cathedral is one of the most serene places in Seattle. St.Therese of Lisieux or St. Therese of the Child Jesus or sometimes called The Little Flower---my patron Saint. She asked Jesus to allow her to spend her eternity not in Heaven but helping humans on earth. She said she would shower down roses upon us. She will ask Jesus to answer our prayers. I remember so clearly this day last year. It was totally last minute and we had a little St. Therese party to celebrate her feast day. We had little rosey pink cupcakes, colored pictures of St. Therese and watched half of THIS movie (which, BTW, if you have yet to see it, it is a great one!).
