Being a visually impaired and hearing impaired person, I can tell a hundred stories over the years of how rude people treated me when they were unaware I did not see them or hear them. My daughter, about eight at the time, chased a hateful woman down in a store one day to tell her that I was HER mom, and I couldn't SEE her when I touched her with my grocery basket! Unfortunately, the woman shoved past her and never offered an apologetic word.
