Walter Schels is a German photographer born in 1936 and famous for his portraits. In 2003, he produced a series of portraits entitled Noch mal leben , with journalist Beate Lakotta 1 in palliative care units to meet with condemned patients and question them about their anxieties.   Everyone is photographed alive then, again, after his death.
