Northern Plains Beaded High Top Hide Moccasins, Crow, c. last quarter 19th century(1870-1880s), the buffalo hide hard sole with upper beadwork in red and pink white hearts, light blue,dark blue oval keyhole design with toe tracks. Beads are sinew sewn and soles appear to be sewn with cotton thread. A great example of 19th century Plains Indian moccasins made for actual wear rather than for trade.
