So, last week I made a silly mistake and published two Rate the Dresses. I noticed it a few hours later and withdrew the one I hadn’t meant to publish. 1860s cotton print maternity dress. Fabric has a brown printed pattern on white background that has tiny brown dots. Neck, armscyes and waist are piped. Bodice lined with cotton and has front button closure. Skirt unlined. Bust: 38"; Waist: 34"; Skirt length: 42".

Friday's Fashion Plate 1860 Ballgown & Visiting Dress This fashion plate is French and comes from Journal Des Demoiselles. It contains a ballgown and a visiting dress from 1860. In 1860, hoopskirts were not yet elliptical in shape, but were still round and quite wide.

Back from TMD at George Ranch. Gulf coast area, not so much hot but HUMID!! Thank goodness there was a breeze all day, but at night the breeze would stop for a bit and get stuffy. So you throw off the covers, the breeze would start again and you would reach for the covers again. But that was the only downside of the weekend. What a great event!
