A note on the backside: "Unser Wohnzimmer in Shanghai". (Our Livingroom in Shanghai). From the same album as the previous photograph of the german family in their japanophile outfit. In contrast to that picture I can not make out any asian furnishing or at least chinese decorations. With portraits of Liszt and Wagner on the wall it could as well have been in their german hometown.
