After nearly nine years, Michele Shiber is hanging up her hat as senior animal control officer for Montclair.

Local police said he "took about 30 minutes and the careful use of cooking grease" to rescue.

With us, humans, consuming so much of farm animal production, such as meat, dairy, eggs and so on, nobody really wants to think about the conditions these animals live in. Animals kept in these farms, are often just a hair away from animal cruelty cases, with their living conditions being the bare minimum requirements to keep them alive. It's the same for some companion animals, where they are purchased purely for human entertainment, or wild animals shot for sport.
