Aristotle Quotes are Perfect Words of Wisdom on Success Aristotle was born in 384 BC in the town of Stagira in Greece. When he was seventeen years old, he entered Plato's Academy to study. In 338 BC he began teaching Alexander the Great, and in 335 BC Aristotle established the Lyceum, his own academy in Athens, where he spent most of the remainder of his life teaching, writing, and studying. Aristotle died in 322 BC, a year after leaving Athens for Chalcis.
