Blue Eyes Lacewing: An Australian insect Nymphes myrmeleonides, found in areas of Qld and NSW. Body length 4cm and a wingspan of 11cm. The huge leaf is from a Corymbia ficifolia (Red flowering Gum tree) growing in my garden at Goodna Qld. I often see these at night, flitting clumsily around an outside light bulb but rarely through the day.
