The Daily Five 1st 20 days...good tips...especially for a younger class...older students should take only a few days to get the hang of it, but i agree that stopping misbehavior early is key!!

This will be my first year implementing Daily 5 in my classroom. Last year as a Curriculum Coach and Resource Teacher, I was exposed to it...

In my school, we use daily 5 for reading instruction. I set up daily 5 a little bit different. I teach third grade and there is just so much to fit in! When I was trying to fit in all daily 5 rotations a day I was not getting to the important stuff and I was not having enough time with my students. So, I do one rotation a day for 20-30 minutes. The students do each rotations for daily 5 once a week and they meet with me once a week.

Yesterday's organization linky party from Mrs. Patton's Patch was on literacy centers. As yesterday was a crazy day (make that Crazy with a capital C!) as Mondays tend to be, I'm a day late. :) Actually, I'm a day late and a little off topic, since I don't use literacy centers in my classroom.
