Painting American composer John Adams was an intensely personal experience for me. Here's the letter I sent Adams to express my love for his work.

My paintings and drawings are comprised of overlapping figures stitched together in one composition. They are multifaceted, abstracted, and meant to evoke the idea that our identity is in flux. Though we are singular beings, our psyche is not.

Page 18. By cutting up this image I found that the face can be made out, however there is a large amount of distortion to this image. This is a concept that I would like to explore as it is a visual representation that the victim will feel as they can still make out the real face but it cannot be made out easily - representing the psychological effect and the disorientation they will experience.
