A king size quilt. All Dresden Plates are machine pieced and hand appliqued. Hand quilted. Not quite finished yet - border and binding to go. 25 Dresden Plates, all with 20 different fabric petals. Background cream fabric and wool batting the only things purchased for this quilt (oh, and thread etc). Finally a friday finish to share: my pushing up daisies is 67" by 85" partly quilted by hand (the background) and partly by machine (the daisies) started a year ago, inspired by Kathy Doughty's quilt garden party from her book making quilts. I love making dresden plate blocks and hadn't make one for quite a long time. In the past, I've made a few quilts, table runners, cushions etc so seem to have had a bit of a vacation away from them.
