One of the tools I have used every day at the beginning of my elementary music lesson is to start with the body and vocal warm-ups to signal we are getting ready to learn. As the children enter the room, they can see that my vocal warm-up slides from my Vocal Warm-Ups for Kinder and 1st Grade are already showing. After stretching and checking our posture, we dive right into warming up our singing voices. I try to keep this part of the lesson to five minutes and add a new warm-up each week.
