"Daydreamer" by Charles Hyman | 9-12th grade | Simpsonville, SC | ArtFields Art Competition This self-portrait is a strong piece juxtaposing the look of boredom with a contrasting background of whimsical doodles. Hyman was attempting to illustrate how outer appearances are not always telling the whole story. Charcoal and ink were used to create even more contrast between the two ideas happening in the work.

Dear all, I am so proud to share the work of my students which I graded A* for the June 2020 Art IGCSE. Here we go!
