A customer at Loot traded me this beautiful china cabinet for a desk I painted. I love the simple, clean lines and the doors remind me of paned windows. The veneer was damaged in places, which I repaired with Gorilla glue and wood filler. I painted the exterior of the cabinet with Graphite Chalk Paint. Two coats of Rust-Oleum Charcoal chalk paint

Reloved Rubbish painted the buffet with Graphite Chalk Paint and then distressed all the edges, so the wood underneath showed through. She then used Annie Sloan clear wax and then thinned the dark wax with mineral spirits to make a glaze that deepened the graphite. The paint makes the details stand out and love the way the dark paint contrasts with the brass hardware.
