Most women are capable of making enough milk for their babies to be happy and healthy, but some women actually aren't physically able to despite their best efforts. 💔 This can be because of IGT. Breast size is not generally related to breastfeeding ability. Women with small breasts need to nurse their babies more often as they have smaller storage capacity. As an exception, hypoplastic tubular breasts (insufficient glandular tissue or IGT) do not develop normally and do not produce enough milk, hence women with IGT experience low milk supply problems.
