Mars, also referred to as the God of War, is the planet that rules anger, action, egos, and desire — and it's going retrograde in Aries after being direct for the past two and a half years on 9th September. Although the sign of the ram is this planet's "home", its retrograde motion will still bring along a ton of drama and fiery chaos into our lives for the next two months until it finally stations direct on 13th November.

The weather on Mars is quite different from that on Earth, but its atmosphere and climate are also more similar to Earth’s than any other planet. Martian weather is relatively colder than Earth’s (as cold as -195 degrees Fahrenheit) and often features vast dust storms. Hubble Space Telescope took a photo of Mars on May 12, 2016, when Mars was 50 million miles from Earth, revealing details as small as 20 to 30 miles across. This observation was made just a few days before Mars opposition, when the sun and Mars will be on exact opposite sides of Earth, and when Mars will be at a distance of 47.4 million miles.
