How To Make A Mop Head Out Of A Towel
Home made flat mop heads. Top-mophead I made on mop, middle-mine, bottom-store bought. Flat mop heads are expensive. A cheap and green solution is DIY from old towels and elastic. Cut around your mop head, with towel piece being 2 inches bigger on all 4 sides. Serge or zigzag stitch the edge so it won't fray in the washer. Sew 1/2 inch wide elastic stretched to its maximum length onto mop head edge with straight stitch. You can use old bath or kitchen towels.
