Kelcey Chilcott, PNP on Instagram: "Boogie season 👻 Using saline + suction can be really helpful in managing respiratory viruses for babies and young kids. Here is how I do it using the @fridababy nose frida and @boogiewipes nasal saline. This is not medical advice, it’s motherly wisdom being passed down. THINGS TO WATCH FOR 1. You suction their nose with the nose Frida they don’t have relief. 2. You notice they are breathing faster. (normal range is 40-60 breaths for an infant) 3. When they breathe, the top of their belly pulls in, along with pulling at the base of their neck. (this reveals their body is working hard to breathe) 4. There is coughing and gagging on snot - and difficulty catching breath afterward. Wide eyes and looking at you.
