Old house sketch

The Old Shack - a pencil and ink drawing

Sketched while sat awkwardly at an angle to the subject, while trying to keep out of the way of a multitude of pedestrians, on the side of a busy road a few years ago. Bridge House was probably built as an apple store on the edge of the orchard to large house by Stock Ghyll Beck. It is more famous for being the home of a large family in the late 19th century despite having only two rooms and an external staircase.
